Milorad Mazic demoted to 4th official for Honduras-Switzerland

TEHRAN,June 25(MNA)--Milorad Mazic has been picked to support Argentine referee Nestor Pitana who will handle the Honduras-Switzerland match in Manaus on Thursday. Iran suffered a 1-0 defeat to Alejandro Sabella's side in Belo Horizonte on Saturday, with Lionel Messi's brilliant effort securing victory for Argentina in second-half stoppage time. Nine minutes into the second half, Argentina defender Pablo Zabaleta brought Ashkan Dejagah wown in the area. Serbian referee Milorad Mazic didn’t award a penalty to the Iranian team and it angered Dejagah and his team-mates and coach Carlos Queiroz. On Monday, Iran complained to FIFA regarding the situation. Mazic has been picked as the fourth official for the World Cup Group E match between Honduras- Switzerland. Pitana from Argentina will referee the match and will be assisted by his countryman Hernan Maidana and Juan Pablo Belatti.
