Minister congratulates SCYS chairman

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), on the occasion of His Highness's achieving the eighth positon in Iron Man Championship held in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, along with the participation of 1200 contestants. The minister also congratulated the Bahraini team on winning the first position among professional teams and the first positon achievement by member of Bahrain Endurance 13, Ben Hoffman. Al Jowder lauded the latest achievement of HH Shaikh Nasser and Bahrain Triathlon Team in South Africa in the series of His Highness's achievements thanks to the kind patronage of the kingdom's leadership to the sports movement and sportspeople in hoisting Bahrain's flag at various functions that made Bahrain the hub of triathlon sport in the Middle East. The minister said that the outstanding achievement of His Highness and the Bahraini team enhances optimism to achieve more successes and accomplishments in upcoming championships that boost the triathlon sport in the kingdom.
