MMA summper camp launch praised

Manama, July 20 (BNA): Khalid Al Khayyat, President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association (BMAA), lauded the initiative and announcement of the Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts “KHK MMA,” Organization’s launch of a Children’s Summer Camp for Mixed Martial Arts, for children aged 5 to 15. Al Khayyat stressed that the summer camp is an important step towards spreading the game and increasing the number of participants, as it will also contribute in preparing a new generation of gifted fighterswho can go on to become champions in the future along the lines of the young fighter, FahadAbdulrazaq. He expects the camp to attract a large number of participants considering the growth of mixed martial arts during the last period and the Kingdom’s advancing within the global ranks. He added that this initiative is the first of its kind on the level of the region which will build a solid ground for the sport, spreading it within the Bahraini society. He pointed that the management council is fully ready to support and assist such events and outstanding activities which coincide with the visions of the federation that aims to raise the game and develop it. The camp for Mixed Martial Arts will be held from July 28 to August 18 at the BMAA's gym hall. The camp will include a variety of programmes that will combine the learning of mixed martial arts with other sports and creative activities and will conclude with a friendly competition among the fighters under the supervision of a group of professional coaches.
