MON-ALTIUS STUDENTS BECOME WORLD UNIVERSITY LEAGUE CHAMPION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 3x3 FISU World University League 2017 took place in Xiamen, People’s Republic of China on September 14-17. Mongolian basketball players from Mon-Altius Physical Education Institute, stood on the highest podium of the tournament after some fierce matches. Our squad comprised Batzolboo Borgil, Enkhbaatar Onolbaatar, Naranbaatar Batdelger and Tsogt Otgonjargal. The team had difficult matches in the preliminary games, losing 14:18 to Srinakharinwarot University and then again to 13:16 to McGill University. In the knock out rounds, Mongolian team strengthened up their offence and made a run to the championship game. Mon-Altius wet with the Serbian team of the University of Kragujevac in the finals, overcoming the match with an awe inspiring offence for the victory. Thanks to winning the FISU World University League, the Mongolian team was qualified to compete in the Mexico Grand Slam competitions. B.Tugsbilig
