Mongolia to host fencing events

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 2015 Asian Youth Fencing Festival and General Assembly of the Asian Fencing Federation (AFF) will take place in Ulaanbaatar. Decisions to award Mongolia the right to host the event were made at annual congress of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) in Rome of Italy. A delegation of Mongolia led by L.Ganpurev, a deputy president of Mongolia’s Fencing Federation (MFF), met with Mr Alisher Usmanov, the FIE president; Mr Wang Wei, a FIE vice president; and Mr Frederic Petrushka, the FIE secretary-general, at the congress. The Mongolians also held meetings with delegations of South Korea, China, Japan, the Great Britain and Uzbekistan. The 2015 AFF’s General Assembly is expected on September 7. It will be attended by Mr Alisher Usmanov and other high officials. The assembly will be followed by the Asian fencing festival on September 7-12.
