MONGOLIAN BECOMES CHAMPION OF ASTANA GRAND PRIX

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ International master of sports G.Otgontsetseg won on October 11 a gold medal in women 48kg category of Judo Grand Prix. The events are running in Astana of Kazakhstan. Before defeating a Brazilian Natalia Powell in the final bout with Yuko score she had beaten judokas from China, Brazil and Italy. Another final match ran in men 60kg category between our D.Amartuvshin and host country wrestler Yuldos Smetov. The latter won the bout, leaving his Mongolian rival with silver medal. Our G.Kherlen, who competed in the same category, defeated Kazakhstan’s G.Yessimbetov, and was lost in the bout with Russian Kulikov. However, he managed a win in repechage round with B.Inoyatov from Uzbekistan. Afterwards, he has satisfied a bronze medal, having defeated H.Ishikava from Japan, with Yuko.
