MONGOLIAN BREAKS RECORD AT DANCON MARCH

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 1, a First Sergeant at the 330th unit of the Mongolian Armed Forces M.Bat-Erdene broke the all-time record at the Dancon March-2015, the multinational peacekeepers’ competition held in the Republic of South Sudan. He has satisfied the success by covering 25 kilometers, carrying 10 kilograms of load, within two hours and seven minutes. He has competed with ten in this category, manly with fiercest military athletes from China and Nepal. To this year’s Dancon March, China sent 82 military personnel, the largest group of the participants. The Dancon March has become an annual event since the military force of Denmark started conducting peacekeeping operations in Cyprus in 1972. The competitions usually consist of 25 kilometer and 100 kilometer running contests.
