Mongolian B.Ser-Od wins silver in Nagano

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia’s B.Ser-Od came second at the 16th Nagano Olympic Commemorative Marathon on April 20. The marathon was organized in two events of men and women, at distance of 40 km each. At men’s event, Serhiy Lebid of Ukraine stepped the finishing line first with a time record of 2:13:56, and was followed by B.Ser-Od and Taiga Ito of Japan. Alina Prokopeva of Russia led the women’s event with astonishing 2:30:56 in ahead of four Japan runners. The Nagano Olympic Commemorative Marathon is an annual marathon road race which takes place in mid-April in Nagano, Japan. It is an IAAF Bronze Label Road Race competition. The Nagano Marathon has races for both elite and amateur runners. It is named in honour of the 1998 Winter Olympics which were held in Nagano.
