Mongolian team is fifth in Tashkent Grand Prix

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The national team of Mongolia successfully competed in the Tashkent Judo Grand Prix tournament which was held October 1-3 in Uzbekistan. On the first day of the events, State Honored Sportswoman and World champion M.Urantsetseg captured a gold medal in the women’s -48 contest, while D.Altansukh grabbed a bronze medal in the men’s -66kg division. On the final day of the competitions, international master of sports B.Temuulen won a silver medal in the men’s heaviest weight category. He was defeated by a Japanese Kenta Nishigata in the finals. By the team results, Mongolia was ranked fifth, collecting the medals, whereas the national team of Japan led the tournament, grabbing four "gold". This year’s Tashkent Grand Prix was participated by 382 judokas from 58 countries.
