Mongolian women’s team wins silver medal

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The national team for women’s basketball won a silver medal in the 1st FIBA Asia 3x3 Championship held May 15-16 in Doha, Qatar. Coached by D.Enebish, a manager of the national selected women’s basketball team, the Mongolian team competed in the “B” section with opponents from India, Lebanon and Nepal. In the preliminary state, the Mongolians beat Lebanon and Nepal, advancing to the 4/1 final. Next, they defeated Sri Lanka with scores 18:13. At the semi-final contest, Mongolia beat Turkmenistan and got qualified to the final. At the gold medal contest, Mongolia was defeated by India. Our team comprises B.Altanzaya, D.Ganzul, J.Ishtuya and B.Solongo.
