Mongolian wrestlers capture medals at Asian Wrestling Championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Freestyle wrestlers of the Mongolian national selected team are successfully competing in the 2014 Asian Wrestling Championships running in Astana, Kazakhstan. On the first day of the competitions kicked off Wednesday, international masters of sports D.Tsogtbaatar and N.Zolboo won silver medals in the men’s 57 kg and 125 kg weight categories, respectively. A sports master B.Shoovdor also grabbed a silver medal in the women’s 58 kg contest. This is the 20th silver medal won by Mongolian women at Asian Championships. Other two wrestlers B.Batmagnai (men’s 65 kg) and O.Uitumen (86 kg) won bronze medals. On Thursday, P.Onorbat (men’s 74 kg), D.Khuderbulga (men’s 96 kg) and E.Narangerel (women’s 48 kg) will compete for gold medals. Another Mongolian N.Lhamgarmaa (women’s 61 kg) will fight for a bronze medal against her South Korean rival.
