Mowater Qatar Organizes First GCC Gathering of Mustangs

Doha, November 09 (QNA) - Mowater Qatar Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports has organized the biggest ever gathering of Ford Mustangs in the Middle East and the Gulf with participation of more than 360 young people from the GCC countries. HE the Minister of Youth and Sports Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali said the gathering is a fraternal meeting for exchanging ideas and promoting communication between the young people of the Gulf in order to contribute to further interdependence and cohesion among the people of the Gulf region. HE the Minister noted that he followed up the march of the GCC participants who came to Qatar by road from Abu Samra port. The march began 24 hours before the Mustangs gathered in the Cultural Village "Katara". HE the Minister praised the participants' adhering to the traffic rules and wearing the seat belt, which is the real message which the youth of Qatar and the GCC countries seek to deliver through these activities. HE the Minister underlined that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is committed to support the creative youth of Qatar and the GCC countries in order to promote hobbies of young people. He thanked the GCC youth presence in Doha to participate in this gathering, which is the largest of its kind in the Middle East. A competition for the best car was organized during the gathering. The Center awarded five winners and honored the partners of the event for the efforts they made over two days: Cultural Village "Katara", Katara Hospitality, the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Traffic Department, Civil Defence Department, Gulf Mustang Group and Qatar Mustang Group. The gathering also witnessed strong participation of people with special needs who shared experiences and conveyed their message to young people. (QNA)
