M.Urantsetseg named as best judoka

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A State Honored Sportswoman and World champion M.Urantsetseg has been named as one of the best judokas by votes of judo fans worldwide for 2014. The Voting ran through the Facebook page of the International Judo Federation among 519 thousand people in five categories. As the IJF has decided, special awards and diplomas will be granted to the top ones. As the results, Yarden Gerbi (Israel), M.Urantsetseg (Mongolia), Majlinda Kelmendi (Kosovo) have become the Fans’ female judokas of the year; Varlam Liparteliani (Georgia), Teddy Riner (France) and Krisztian Toth (Hungary)-- Fans’ male judoka of the year. The national men team of Georgia and the women teams of Mongolia and France have become the Fans’ teams of the year. The Paris Grand Slam, Chelyabinsk World Championships for 2014 and Tokyo Grand Slam have been named as the Fans’ best tournaments. Judokas Amandine Buchard (France), Krisztian Toth (Hungary) and Ami Kondo (Japan) have been named as the Fans’ judokas for tomorrow.
