National Guard Commander hails Ironman team achievements

Manama, Feb 2 (BNA): National Guard Commander Lt-Gen Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa today received the National Guard triathlon team days following winning the Ironman Dubai 2016 – team category. National Guard Staff Director Major Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa and Special Operations Commander Maj-Gen Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa were present. National Guard Commander took pride in the remarkable results achieved by the National Guard squad and other Bahraini teams, who splendidly represented the Bahraini youth at the international level. He lauded the efforts made by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in disseminating the triathlon sport among Bahraini youth. Ironman Dubai 2016 is the first leg of the Ironman Triple Crown title. The second leg will be launched in next September in Australia and Bahrain will host the final leg in December 2016.
