Our judokas capture seven medals in Paris Grand Slam

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Judokas of the men and women’ national teams of Mongolia have grabbed seven medals in the Paris Grand Slam tournament which concluded on Sunday in France. The gold medals have been won by the 2013 World champion and current World No1 M.Urantsetseg in women’s under 48kg contest and by D.Tomorkhuleg IMS in the men’s -66kg bout. In the final he beat Georgii Zantaraia, the 2009 World champion from Ukraine. Bronze medalist of the 2015 World Championships D.Sumiya won a silver medal in the women’s -57kg contest. In the final bout, she was defeated by a Portuguese Telma Monteiro. Bronze medals went to D.Amartuvshin (men’s -60kg), D.Altansukh (men’s 66kg), O.Uuganbaatar (men’s 81kg) and L.Otgonbaatar (men’s -90kg). By the team results the Mongolians took the 3rd place, after Japan and France.
