PTI's commandant highlights yardstick contests

Manama, Sept. 3 (BNA): The Police Training Institute (PTI)'s Commandant in the Royal Academy of Police (RAP), Lt-Colonel Ibrahim Bakheet, said the feats accomplished by the Interior Ministry for the sixth time consecutively in the Military Yardstick Championship versus international teams in recent years at the Royal British College of Sand-Hurst with participation of many teams from around the world could be achieved thanks to the support of Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, persistent follow up of Public Security Chief and supervision of the Royal Academy's Commandant, with the aim of representing the Kingdom at international functions. He added the participation in such contests does not only seek to achieve titles, as every team member knows quite well what is the meaning of collective work and team spirit. Also preparations ahead of international contests including continuous training boosts the spirit of honesty. The Commandant of Police Training Institute who was speaking to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said: " Continuous training on infantry movements has contributed to a large extent in increasing the efficiency of participants in this contest". "All team members through training now enjoy high efficiency, perfection, discipline and great comprehension of the training process. All team members jointly work in harmony in the spirit of the single team commensurate with their responsibility in representing our beloved Kingdom of Bahrain abroad," he said. "We seek to organise similar competitions between the ministry's training camps, nationwide,regionally in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States and in the Arab world," he added.
