Qatar Beach Volleyball Team Beat U.S. in World Championship, Qualify for Last 16

Amsterdam, July 01 (QNA) - Qatar's beach volleyball team kept their good run going as they beat the United States in the second round of the Beach Volleyball World Championship, currently underway in the Netherlands, and qualified for the round of 16. Backed by positive impressions that they made in the first round of the tournament, the Maroon carried on the outstanding form and overcame the United States 2-0. The American team reached the second round after topping their group and winning all of their games in the tournament so far. Qatar will now take on 16th-seeded Switzerland who are 27th in world rankings. (QNA)
