Qatar to Face Turkey in Friendly Wednesday

Doha, November 09 (QNA) - Turkey's National Football Team is set to arrive in Doha Wednesday to meet Qatar National Football Team in friendly on November 13 at Lekhwiya Stadium. The match against the worlds 37th-ranked team is a part of Qatars preparations for their second-round tie in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification against Bhutan in Thimpu on November 17. Qatar had routed the South East Asian side 15-0 at home last month in the first leg for their biggest-ever victory in any official competition. The game will also be held within the celebrations for the Qatari-Turkish Culture Year, as Cultural Year events represent one of the key elements of Qatar National Vision 2030 which aims to establish cultural relations with other countries of the world. The past cultural events in Qatar included: Qatar-Japan 2012, Qatar-UK 2013 and Qatar-Brazil 2014. (QNA)
