Qatar Handball Association Participates in Meetings of the IHF General Assembly

Gothenburg, July 03 (QNA) - The Qatar Handball Association (QHA) is participating in the meetings of the General Assembly of the International Handball Federation (IHF) which began on Wednesday in Gothenburg, Sweden, with the participation of 168-member associations from around the world. QHA is represented by the President of the Association Ahmed Mohamed Al Shaabi, as well as the Secretary General Mohammed Jaber Al Mulla. The meetings began by voting on the recognition of the newly founded North America and the Caribbean Handball Confederation (NACHC) and the South and Central America Handball Confederation (SCAHC), with the two unions formally recognized by 145 votes. The agenda of the two-day meetings includes the presentation of the IHF Audit Report, authentication of IHF activities, and changes in rules and regulations for the award of championships and competition regulations, reviews of the reports of IHF partners and working groups, as well as a number of motions to vote on. The awards will be presented at the end of the meetings following the selection of the city to host the next edition of the IHF General Assembly. (QNA)
