Qatar Records Third Consecutive Win in World Cup Qualifiers

Hong Kong, September 08 (QNA) - The Qatari national team recorded an important 3-2 victory away to Hong Kong on Tuesday, in the fourth round of the Asian Cup and World Cup qualifiers. Karim Boudiaf opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and the first half ended 1-0. Qatar came out strongly in the second half strongly, with Abdulkarim Hasan Fadlalla doubling Qatar's lead. Mohammed Musa put the game beyond doubt in the 84th minute. Although two quick goals from Hong Kong in the 86th and 89th minute ensured a nervy ending. The win took Qatar's point tally to nine points with three points, two more than China. The eight group winners and the best four of the second placed all qualify for the Asia Cup 2019. But they have to play a final round of qualifiers to determine which countries will play in the World Cup. (QNA)
