Qatar Team Loses to Czech, Chilean Teams in FIVB Tokyo Beach Volleyball Olympic Qualification Tournament

Haiyang, China, September 18 (QNA) - Qatar beach volleyball team (1), made up of the duo Sharif Younis and Ahmed Tijan, lost to Czech pair Ondrej Perusic and David Schweiner 1-2 (21-19, 13-21, 16-18) in their opening match within Group D of FIVB Tokyo Beach Volleyball Olympic Qualification Tournament in Haiyang, China, which began today in the Chinese city of Haiyang and will continue until Saturday. Qatar team also lost their second match against Chilean duo Marco Grimalt and Esteban Grimalt 0-2 (14-21, 16-21). Sixteen teams are participating: Norway, Russia, Poland, Qatar, the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Spain, Latvia, US, the Czech Republic, Chile, Canada and Australia. (QNA)
