Qatar Through to the Final of Gulf Cup of Nations

Riyadh, November 23 (QNA) - Qatar's football national team qualified Sunday to the final of the Gulf Cup of Nations after reversing their 0-1 to beat Oman 3-1. Hassan Al Haidous scored from the spot kick in the 36th minute. Ali Assad added a brace in the 59th and 67th minute to send his national team to the final. Raed Ibrahim scored Oman's only goal in the 24th minute. Qatar will meet Wednesday with the winners from Saudi Arabia or UAE, who play one another later tonight. The victory was Qatar's 13th against Oman in the history of the Gulf Cup of Nations. Oman has won five encounters. The win is Qatar's first in the tournament after drawing their first three matches. The last time Qatar reached the final of the Gulf Cup of Nations was 10 years ago. (QNA)
