Qatar U-19 Qualify to Asia Cup 2016 with Oman Win

Doha, October 06 (QNA) - Qatar U-19 national team qualified Tuesday to the Asia Cup 2016 which will take place in Bahrain after beating Oman 2-1. It was the third consecutive win for the Qatar U-19 team and guaranteed their qualification to Asia Cup next year. They have defeated Kyrgyzstan 7-1 and Lebanon 4-0 on their road to qualification. In today's match, Oman took the lead in the 29th minute via a penalty kick. The Qatari players responded with character and pressed looking for an equalizer, which they got in the third minute of extra time courtesy of a Khalid Mounir penalty. Qatar then pressed for the winner and they got won in the first minute of the second half with Mounir once again the hero. (QNA)
