Qatar U16 National Team Name Squad for Asia Cup Qualifiers

Doha, September 19 (QNA) - Qatar U16 national team's squad for the Asia Cup qualifiers was announced on Tuesday, with the matches set to kick off tomorrow and last until Sunday. The matches of Group E, which features The Maroon alongside Bangladesh, Yemen and United Arab Emirates, will be staged in Doha. Group A will be played in Saudi Arabia, Group B in Tajikistan, Group C in Iran, Group D in Nepal, Group F in Taiwan, Group G in Thailand, Group H in Myanmar, Group I in Mongolia and Group J in Indonesia. The first round in Group A, Group C, Group F and Group G kicked off on Saturday with the rest of the groups starting tomorrow. The 44 participating national teams were divided into two regions; West Asia, which includes the western, central and southern regions, and East Asia, which includes the eastern and ASEAN regions. Each of the two regions comprises 22 nations. Winners of each group qualify for the finals along with the best five second-placed sides in the 10 groups. (QNA)
