Qatar Win Volleyball Gold At Second GCC Games

Doha, April 06 (QNA) - The Qatari (A) Team claimed the gold medal of the Volleyball Event at the second GCC Beach Games. In the final match held on Sunday, Qatar (A) team defeated Oman (B) team 21-17 21-18 at Al Gharafa sports club. Moreover, Oman (A) team defeated Qatar (B) team to claim the bronze medal. Khalid Hamad Al Mohannadi, Executive Director of the Games, Khalid Al Mawlwai, President of the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVBA), Waleed Aman, Head of the GCC Volleyball Organising Committee crowed the winning teams. Waleed Aman, Head of the GCC Volleyball Organising Committee extended his appreciation to the Qatar Olympic Committee for hosting the event. The QVBA Secretary General Mohammad Ali Al Mohannadi was delighted by the Qatari gold medal and wished the Qatari players to show the same level at the Asian Championship to be held in Thailand. (QNA)
