Qatar Wins 5th Gold Medal in Asian Games after 400*4 Relay Win

Jakarta, August 30 (QNA) - Qatar won Thursday their fifth gold medal in the Asian games, after winning the 400*4 relay race and set a new Asian record while doing so. The team is comprised of Abdalelah Haroun, Abdulrahman Samba, Mohammed Nour, and Mohammed Abas finished the race in 3:00.56 minutes. They beat Japan's record of 3:01.70 minutes. India came in second place, finishing the race in 3:01..85 minutes. The bronze medal went to the Japanese team, who finished the race in 3:01.94. Qatar raised its medal point tally to 12, five of which are gold and four are silver. (QNA)
