Qatari Driver Wins Rally Argentina

Doha, April 27 (QNA) - Qatari driver Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari stretched Sunday his WRC 2 lead to virtually three minutes during todays second leg of XION Rally Argentina. The Qatari hit a rock in the opening stage but enjoyed a clean run through the rough gravel stages thereafter to return to the rally base in Villa Carlos Paz with a 2min 55.4sec lead in his Ford Fiesta RRC. Al Kuwari produced a strong performance throughout the competition, particularly in the latter part. Al Kuwari now raised his point tally by 25 to 37 points to move to second in the standings behind Jari Ketomaa who is top with 55 points. The Qatari driver expressed his happiness at winning the Rally and moving to second on the standings. He expressed his hope that he can continue his strong showing in the future. (QNA)
