Qatari Rashid Nawaf Qualifies for Quarter-Finals of Singles and Doubles of ATF Competition

Bangkok, September 19 (QNA) - Qatar's Rashid Nawaf continued his good performance at the 14th Asian Indoor International Tennis Federation (ITF) U-14 indoor competition for the singles and doubles, which is hosted by the Thai capital of Bangkok until September 22. Nawaf managed to qualify for the quarter-finals in the singles and doubles, respectively, in the singles, the Qataris beat Sri Lanka's Nalaka Dissanayake 2-0 in the match of the third round of the competition. The Qatari player will play in the quarter-finals of the singles category with Malaysia's Christian Andrei Chang Liu. Nawaf and his Syrian teammate Mohammed Yaman Nghngh played in the doubles competition and reached the quarter-final after beating Uzbekistan's players with two sets against one (6-7, 6-4, 10-6). (QNA)
