Qatari Youth Team Lose to Uruguay 2-3

Doha, September 20 (QNA) - The Qatari youth team lost to Uruguay 2-3 in a match played at the Aspire Stadium Wednesday. The match is within the second round of the quartet's football friendly organized by the Qatar Football Association (QFA) as part of the preparations for the Asian Nations Cup to be held in Indonesia next October. This came after Qatar made a 4-1 win over Vietnam in the first round, in which Uruguay defeated Cote d'Ivoire 3-1. Uruguay lead the overall standings with 6 points ahead of second-placed Qatar and third-placed Cote d'Ivoire with 3 points each, while Vietnam is in fourth place with no points. The four-nation tournament will conclude on Saturday with Qatar paying against Cote d'Ivoire and Uruguay taking on Vietnam. (QNA)
