Qatar's Chess Team Continue Winning Streak in Arab Chess Cup

Amman, July 23 (QNA) -The players of Qatar's Chess team have continued their winning streak in the 2019 Arab Chess Cup in Jordan's capital of Amman on Tuesday. Qatar's Lian Mansoor Qasabi defeated Iraq's Al Zahra Abdo Ameer before beating Jordan's Aisha Abass. Tuesday's victories braced Lian to raise her tally to 3 points in the eight places, just two points behind leader. Meanwhile her sister, Rowdah Qasabi defeated Iraq's Retaj Saad Hassan. The event brings together 276 players representing 16 teams including Qatar, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Iraq, Tunisia, Libya, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Oman and hosts Jordan. (QNA)
