QFA, CAF Sign Cooperation Agreement

Cairo, May 06 (QNA) - Qatar Football Association (QFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have on Wednesday signed a five-year cooperation agreement between the two organizations for the development of football. QFA President HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani and CAF President Issa Hayatou put pen to paper on the agreement at the CAF headquarters in Cairo. According to the agreement, the two sides will exchange expertise and experience in several fields including administration, coaching, sports medicine, refereeing, youth football and women football, infrastructure development, marketing and communications. "I am looking forwards to a mutually rewarding partnership between the Qatar Football Association and the Confederation of African Football; I strongly believe this agreement will help us further develop our goals, especially from the technical aspect," HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani said commenting on the agreement. For his part, Hayatou said the agreement demonstrates the commitment of both sides to the development of football. "We're confident that through exchanges in the various development programs outlined, we will enhance our working collaborations and provide opportunities and platforms for our members to churn out solutions that will have long lasting positive impact on African football development," he said.
