QOC President Receives An Invitation To Attend Second GCC Games

Doha, July 17 (QNA) - President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) HE Sheikh Joaan bin Haman Al -Thani received an official invitation to attend the second GCC Games scheduled to be held at Dammam, Saudi Arabia next October. QOC Vice President HE Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al -Thani along with QOC Secretary General Dr. Thani Abdulrahman Al Kuwari received invitations to attend the second Gulf Games. The invitations were handed by the Executive Director of Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee (SAOC) Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Mosaed bin Abdulaziz during his visit to Doha. The first edition of the GCC Games was held in Bahrain from October 11-22, 2011 where the GCC athletes competed in 10 sports including; Football, Basketball, Handball, Volleyball, Athletics, Swimming, Cycling, Bowling, Table Tennis and Goalball.(QNA)
