QOC Secretary General: Qatar Seeks to Organize Tournaments and Win Titles

Doha, June 26 (QNA) - In cooperation with the International Sports Federations , Qatar seeks to organize tournaments, to win its titles and to develop its sport, said HE the Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) ,Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani. During the QOC General Assembly meeting held here today, Sheikh Saoud called on Qatar Sports Unions to support QOC and taking advantage from the sports training courses for coaches, referees and executive directors as well as benefiting from the agreements that have been signed with a number of the most famous universities in the world and the International Olympic Academy, Athens, Greece. He lauded efforts being made by board of directors of sports federations, clubs and executive officers to develop Qatari sport in all games , as well as cooperation and coordinate with the QOC to raise Qatar's flag in all international arenas. He called on attendees to ensure supervisor representation for Qatar in sports training courses and tournaments , urging all staff to use electronic systems that would complete transactions quickly for Qatari sports federations' participation and contribution to the strategic planning process for the success of the sports sector strategy in the country. QOC Secretary General stressed the importance of optimal use of the Qatari sports system between clubs and federations to know names of registered players in all age groups, saying the same system will be applied in the Schools Olympic Program (SOP),in future versions, through the participation of approximately 350 - 400 schools in all games listed in the country.(QNA)
