QSL Named Hussein Ammota Coach of the Month

Doha, April 21 (QNA) - Al Sadds head coach Hussein Ammota picked up his second manager of the month award this season for the month of April. Despite having to concede yet another QSL title to arch rivals Lekhwiya, his team had a good showing as they went into the final few games. This month Ammota was witness to his side winning three out of the three matches that took place in April. First, the Wolves made light work of an unconvincing Al Gharafa side that had just parted ways with their head coach, Marcos Paqueta. Then they faced off against El Jaish who they dispatched with surprising ease (5-2) and lastly they had to navigate a tricky tie against Shamal which they won 2-0. They scored an astonishing 12 goals and only conceded three times in two matches. Sadd created 14 chances, and conceded 12 chances per game. They had an average of 453 passes per game, which clearly indicates they executed their usual excellent passing game and domination of the ball. They also averaged 22 penalty area entries per game in April which shows they were also using their possession with intent by putting the ball into dangerous areas. All in all, it was a good end to the season for the Wolves who still have the Qatar Cup, HH the Emir Cup and Asian Champions League to look forward to. (QNA)
