Referee rewarded with Golden Flag

Manama, June 22 (BNA): HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of HRH the Crown Prince, rewarded Bahraini referee Ibrahim Sabt after winning the Martyr Fahad Al Ahmad Golden Flag for the best Arab assistant referee in 2014. Mr. Sabt achieved the award after topping a petition conducted by Lebanese magazine Al Hadath Sports, whose Chief Editor Saeed Ghabrees presented during the event. It's worth citing that Mr. Sabt is the first Bahraini to win such an award designed for football referees and their assistants. Sabt received the award after earning 119 points, followed by Moroccan Radwan Asheeq on 116 points. Mr. Sabt had participated among the Bahraini referee crew in 2014 World Cup, where they officiated three matches.
