Round table held at BEGOC on request of foreign journalists

Baku, June 27 AZERTAC A round table has been held at the headquarters of the Baku European Games Operations Committee (BEGOC) on the request of foreign media representatives. Presidential Aide for Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov, Minister of Youth and Sport Chief Executive Officer of Baku European Games Operations Committee Azad Rahimov responded to questions from foreign media representatives. Mr. Hasanov said the mission of foreign journalists was to deliver the most exciting moments of the European Games to the world community. The Presidential Aide highlighted the state-of-the-art sport infrastructure in Azerbaijan, saying "this infrastructure created an opportunity to host important sport events. Azerbaijan is a sport country, it is a tolerant country." "Azerbaijan is a country that established norms of civil society. All this allows Azerbaijan to host high-profile global sports events." Minister Rahimov hailed the role of President Ilham Aliyev and chairperson of the Baku 2015 First European Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva in the organization of the European Games. He hailed the performance of Team Azerbaijan, saying "we have earned more medals than we planned".
