Royal Endurance Team's achievement in France lauded

Manama, May 18 (BNA): Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Captain of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed the tremendous performance showcased by Bahrain Royal Endurance Team in France where they participated in a major international endurance horse race. The event included a 160km course, and the Bahrainis dominated the top places, clinching second, third, fourth and fifth positions thanks to the instructions and constant follow-up by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. "We are very happy with this achievement which adds to the establishments scored by Bahrain Royal Endurance Team in the horse endurance sport. This proves our merits and potential to compete with the best in this sport," Shaikh Nasser said. "The race consisted of a tough course, but our team members were ready for any challenge and any condition. Now we will focus on qualifying for the World Endurance Cup," he added. It's worth noting that Raed Mahmood of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team finished second after posting a time of 08:03.35 hours, followed by teammates Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa (09:09.35), Shaikh Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa (09:19.48) and Salman Isa (09:19.49) in third, fourth and fifth places respectively. First place of the race went to Hayan Philip of France, who clocked in 08:48.05 hours.
