Royal golf club hosts BBBF's social golf day

Manama, June 9 (BNA): Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) recently organised a corporate social golf day at the Royal Golf Club Bahrain. The event also celebrated the 200th anniversary of British Bahraini relationship and was attended by the British Ambassador to Bahrain, Simon Martin CMG, and Timothy Pounds, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the United States of America. More than 100 players made up of BBBF members and their guests took part in the event which was played in the Texas Scramble format. The winning team, "Sultans of Swing", comprised of Matthew Deakin, Ted Hillman, Aracelli Deakin and Gabriella Deakin, who won a prize sponsored by Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover. The golf day was organised in partnership with title partners Euro Motors, Etihad Airways, AXA Insurance and Gulf Brands International. The sponsors offered a number of prizes to the contestants with Euro Motors offering a Hole in One car, an exquisite Jaguar XE on the 16th green. Etihad Airways offered a business class return ticket to UK as the main prize for the raffle draw between all participants. The lucky winner was Ben Johnson. Other raffle sponsors included the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay and Gulf Hotel. Following the day of games a prize giving ceremony and dinner was held at the Royal Golf Club.
