Russia is best place for holding first Olympians forum - IOC president

MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Russia is the best venue for the inaugural World Olympians Forum, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach told reporters. "The first World Olympians Forum is an excellent opportunity to bring together all Olympians," Bach said. "We are based primarily on the Olympic spirit. When I was approached with a proposal to organize such a forum, I immediately thought of Russia. Russia is a wonderful country, the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games were held here at the highest level. It is wonderful that a year and a half later we will be able to get together in Russia again." The World Olympians Forum is held in Moscow on October 21 and October 22. Read more
