S.BYAMBAJAV AND B.MUNKHZAYA WIN UB MARATHON-2018

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 19, ‘Ulaanbaatar Marathon-2018’ international marathon took place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Some 30 thousand people participated in the marathon, organized among professional and amateur runners. Athletes S.Byambajav in men's division, B.Munkhzaya in women's division led the official distance of 42.195km category of the marathon in which 330 people competed, winning prize of MNT 10 million. Marathon runner B.Munkhzaya represented Mongolia at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games and in the World Championships. Three athletes from Republic of Kenya took part in the official distance, but they did not complete the race. 318 people participated in 21.095 km category while 800 people in 10 km category. 386 families and more than 100 people with disabilities were involved in the marathon.
