SC Security Committee Continues to Qualify Security Stadiums Trainers for World Cup 2022

Doha, June 23 (QNA) - The training and qualifying unit in the security committee of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) continues its training program to prepare and qualify trainers for stadium security and safety in accordance with the FIFA requirements in preparation for hosting the World Cup - Qatar 2022. The program, which began four months ago, aims to train five groups by the end of the year. Each group of 30 members will receive a certificate as trainers. The program concluded today a training course for the fourth group, which includes female officers from the women's section. The course included a range of expertise, skills and knowledge, which are required by FIFA, including knowledge of human rights, how to deal with crowds, security and safety, and other skills. Captain Abdulrahman Al Suwaidi, from the SC training and qualifying unit said that this course is offered to the fourth group of security and safety trainers (women's section), noting that the duration of the course for each group is about sixteen weeks. Al Suwaidi pointed out that the experts of the training and qualifying unit, who are working on this program, are highly qualified in this field and belong to several countries, such as Russia, the Netherlands and Britain. For his part, the lecturer in the qualifying unit Abdulhamid bin Houla, said that the lectures include several axes, including first aid, fire resistance and evacuation, pointing out that the lectures meet the requirements of FIFA and its rules within the stadiums and under the supervision of the SC training and qualifying unit. He pointed out that the program works to qualify five groups of trainers, each group comprises 30 members, to reach 150 trainers at the end of the program, who train about twenty thousand elements.
