SCYS First Deputy Chairman congratulates Bahrain leadership

Manama, Aug. 30 (BNA): First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), President of West Asia Athletics Federation and Bahrain Athletics Association president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa extended heartfelt congratulations to Bahrain leadership as well as HM the King's Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, SCYS Chairman and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on success of Bahraini runner Eunice Kirwa in bagging the bronze medal in the World Athletics Championship in Beijing. Shaikh Khalid described the landmark achievement as the dividend of the leadership and Shaikh Nasser's support to the sport and youth movement in Bahrain, in general, and athletics, in particular. He praised the outstanding performance of the Bahraini runner Eunice Kirwa and her determination to project Bahrain's image by mounting the podium. He added that the international accomplishment will serve as a catalyst for Bahrain Athletics Association to provide more support to Bahraini athletes to bring about more achievements and boost the kingdom's status in all international sporting events.
