SCYS First VP receives sports media

Manama, Aug. 12 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS), received the heads of sports supplements of local newspapers and the chairman and members of the Sport Media Committee of the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA). HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad praised the efforts of sports editors in local newspapers and the Sports Media Committee in supporting plans and programmes aimed to develop and boost the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Highness said the Sports Media Committee has effectively contributed to the advancement of sports journalism, promoting standards of press and media performance besides sustainable development of this vital sector of youth and sports. His Highness lauded the effective support of sports pages and the media committee to the interesting, joyful and exciting Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and continuous follow up of the sport activities, which translated in the successful events and game development as well as enhanced performance of aspiring young Bahraini MMA fighters in various clubs which began to spread in the Kingdom of Bahrain to fulfill the aspirations of young Bahraini MMA fighters.
