SCYS secretary general congratulates Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad

Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa has congratulated Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Federation on the historic winning by Bahraini marathoner Eunice Jepkirui Kirwa of a bronze medal in (Beijing) in the People's Republic of China. The SCYS Secretary General said the accomplishment comes as a result for the huge support provided by the Kingdom's leadership, evidenced by Bahrain's accomplishments over the past years, which consolidates the Kingdom’s leading status on all levels. He said the accomplishment translates the supportive stance of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, the Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee in supporting all Bahraini national teams, especially athletics teams, which culminated in various laudable sports feats. He praised champion Eunice's accomplishment who was able to emboss the Kingdom's name in the records of international championships, adding that the bronze medal won by Eunice Kirwa will constitute a new launching of Bahraini athletics and gives everybody the incentive to march on the path of honorable accomplishments and to paint the best future for the mother-of-all-sports in the Kingdom.
