Seminar on scientific research set

Manama, Sept. 15 (BNA): A two-day seminar on scientific research is all set to commence today (Sep. 16) at Rami Grand Hotel in Seef. Organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), the seminar will be attended by around 150 academics and researchers in the fields of sports management, sports medicine and sports training from Bahrain and other Arab countries. Today’s programme begins at 9.30pm with the first theme on the challenges of the scientific research in the field of sports. It will be followed by a paperwork on the scientific research in sports medicine and sports science in the Arab world. The third and concluding theme of the day is about applying nanotechnology in the field of sports. Among main objectives to be presented at the seminar is the importance of scientific research in developing sports movement in the Arab world. Six lecturers will be speaking at the seminar. They are Dr Mohammed Bu Daina, Dr Mohammed Bu Hiji of Bahrain, Dr Ahmed Al Shareef of the UAE, Dr Sari Hamdan of Jordan, Saudi Arabia’s Dr Hazzaa bin Mohammed Al Hazzaa and Dr Mohammed Hassanein of Egypt. The seminar is part of this year’s Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports, organised for the third consecutive year under the patronage of His Majesty the King Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh
