Serbia signs up for Baku 2015 European Games coverage

Baku, May 30, AZERTAC Baku 2015 has signed a broadcast deal ensuring that viewers in Serbia will be able to tune into the inaugural European Games from 12-28 June. The Games will be shown on the public free-to-air broadcaster Radio Television Serbia (RTS), which holds the rights to the Olympic Games as well as UEFA Champions League football. The network has a reach of three million households across the country. Mr Simon Clegg, Chief Operating Officer of Baku 2015, said: “Baku 2015 set out to secure the widest possible coverage of the inaugural European Games to help establish a viable brand, and share the excitement with as many viewers as possible, in Europe and beyond. “This latest agreement shows the great enthusiasm for the Games, and I am delighted that fans in Serbia will be able to follow their athletes. Serbia has a strong sporting tradition, and we expect great things from their competitors next month in Baku.” Mr Vladan Ckrkic, RTS Programme Director, added: “We have always supported the promotion of sports, and are very glad to be part of such an event, especially the inaugural edition.”
