Seven medals from Kyrgyz sambo wrestlers at Martial Arts Festival in South Korea

Bishkek, Sept.10, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s sambo wrestlers won seven medals at Martial Arts Festival, held in South Korea, Head Trainer of the Kyrgyz Sambo Federation Musa uulu Tilek said. 8 domestic athletes took part in the sporting event. On the first day of the competition, the team from Kyrgyzstan won three gold medals (Farkhat Abjaliyev, Sayak Barakanov, Edilbek Shakirmamatov) and one silver medal (Turarbek Zholdoshkaziyev). On the second day Elza Abdykadyrova, Aidos Aliyev and Elaman Genzhebayev won bronze medals. The Festival was held in South Korea from Aug. 30 to Sept. 6. About 2 thousand 500 athletes from all over the world took part in the competition. They fought in belt wrestling, taekwondo, aikido, jiu-jitsu, muay thai, sambo, wushu and other sports disciplines.
