Shahar Peer moves on to next round in Baku Cup 2014

Baku, July 23 (AzerTAc). The winner of the Baku Cup 2014 tournament`s match between Vesna Dolontc of Serbia and Shahar Peer of Israel was identified in two hours. In the match taking place in a very tense and heated struggle both tennis players continued their fight till the end for each point. Peer dominantly started the first set and won 3 subsequent points 3-0. Yet, Dolontc did not accept the defeat and change the score in her favour 6-3. Peer dominantly started also the second set. The Israeli player prevailing with her points, won the set 6-2 and made the score 1-1. In the last set, both players equally struggled. Nevertheless, Vesna Dolontc, who seemed more tired, started making mistakes in even very simple episodes and Peer started dominating. Shahar Peer who won the third set also by 6-3 passed to the ¼ final. Her next rival will be the winner of the match between Sorana Cirstea (ROU) - Stefanie Voegele (SUI).
