Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad arrives in Florida to support KHK MMA team

Manama, Apr. 16 (BNA): The First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and founder of the KHK MMA organization His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa arrived in the U.S state of Florida to attend the UFC on FOX (19) FIGHT NIGHT organized by the Ultimate Fighting Championship UFC on the 17th of April , in order to support the two professional fighters Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev. Upon His Highnesses’ arrival at the airport, he was briefed with the preparations of the two fighters and expressed confidence in their abilities to achieve positive results in the championship and to honor the Kingdom in such major sporting event. His Highness affirmed that the Kingdom’s participation in such event would contribute in boosting Bahrain’s status in the MMA field. The KHK MMA team has concluded its final preparations for Khabib and Islam’s fight. Khabib ‘The Eagle’ aims to win the 23rd fight and to maintain his outstanding record of no defeat, by facing the American HOCHER. The 24 year old Islam aims to win his 15th fight to continue his participation in the championship, after his only defeat last October. UFC on FOX (19) FIGHT NIGHT fighters met yesterday media personnel at the Tigers World Gym in Tampa Florida, in which they shed light on their preparations for the championship and their chances of winning.
