Shaikh Khalid congratulates Strongest Bahraini Man Qualifiers’ winners

Manama, Sept. 9 (BNA): HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, praised the performance shown during the 2nd Strongest Bahraini Man qualifiers which concluded on Saturday in Seef Mall.  The qualification round of the championship, held under the theme #Be_Monester, lasted for two days, while the finals will commence on 21-23 February 2019.  The Strongest Bahraini Man Championship is part of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa's humanitarian and sports initiatives that are aimed at supporting youth and sports sectors and Its proceeds will be reserved to support cancer patients.  HH Shaikh Khalid said that the performance appeared in the qualifiers in all the weights reflect the strong preparations made by the participants who took part in the event, stating that they also give clear signs of their solid body strengths, physical abilities and potentials.  HH Shaikh Khalid congratulated the winners of the top places in all the weights, confirming that their results were well-earned following the performances delivered by them which reflected their desire to progress to the finals.  Interaction It's worth noting that the concluding day witnessed a tremendous interaction from a large number of spectators who attended to watch the competitions.  Results The results in the lightweight competitions as follows: Sayed Shubbar Abdullah won first place, followed by Hashim Aref and Asa'ad Najem in second and third places respectively. In the middleweight, Isa Aref finished on top, while second and third places went to Hussain Habeeb and Ibrahim Al Malah respectively. Meanwhile. Ahmed Al Mousa topped the podium of the heavyweight. Ali Adel and Yaqoub Al Attawi came in second and third respectively.
